The Jim Charette Sound Project was officially started April 8th,2008,when I approached a few friends about letting me use some of their lyrical and vocal skills to mix in with some of the muzak I'd created.I've always considered it muzak as I am not a musician,nor do I pretend to be one.I don't consider these 'songs' so much as pieces of art,sound sculptures if you will.Simply an artist playing with sound.I am not a performer,once I record these improvised tracks I will never play them again.I wouldn't want to repaint the same painting over and over again as I am less interested in performing them than I am in creating them.So,as of April 8th,2008 and continuing through April 7th 2009,I will post one new piece every day and then see where I go from there.So,please,check them out and,if you enjoy them,tell somebody you know about them,and feel free to let me know what you think.I appreciate any and all feedback.
