Note to Galleries and collectors alike:All of the larger work was created on unstretched canvas tacked up on the wall.As such,I believe that they should be displayed that way.For me,that raw look keeps the work alive and more inviting for the viewer.A way of entering the arena as it were.I have been experimenting with hanging them as tapestries attatched to wood strips to make hanging them(as well as shipping them)easier for people as I fully realize that most poeple don't want to start sticking thumbtacks in their walls. That said,I am also willing to have them stretched for any gallery (and/or collector wishing to do me the honor of including some of my work in their private collections)that is interested in my work but less than keen on displaying them this way .Naturally I would prefer that they be displayed in their original configuration but I would also much rather have my work seen than just simply stacking up in the studio.Jim Charette-4-12-2008- |
